Meet Erin

Hi, I’m Erin — a literacy coach, educator, and passionate advocate for early childhood learning. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Literacy from the State University of New York. With over 15 years of classroom experience, my heart has always been in helping young children develop the foundational skills they need to become confident, joyful readers.

In 2019, my family relocated to Charlotte, and I stepped away from the classroom to become a stay-at-home mom. During that time, I focused on building the foundational skills my daughter would need to thrive in kindergarten. While creating a rich, play-based learning environment for her at home, I realized how much I missed teaching and how many parents were searching for the same kind of guidance and support. That’s how Little Reading Nest came to be.

Today, I offer individualized tutoring, parent coaching, and homeschool literacy enrichment sessions that are tailored to each child's unique needs. My approach is nurturing, research-based and rooted in play and connection. Whether you're looking to boost your child's reading skills or bring more structure and joy into your homeschool routine, I'm here to help you every step of the way.
